Editing or proofreading?

Editing or proofreading?

November 6, 2024 Uncategorized 0

Editing and proofreading are two steps in preparing written work. After writing, comes editing. Here, we check the content for clarity, flow, and structure. This involves rewriting sentences, rearranging paragraphs, or changing words to make the message clear and easy to read. Proofreading happens after editing. In proofreading, we look closely for small errors like spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes. No big changes are made in this stage; it’s about correcting details. So, editing focuses on improving the overall quality of the writing, while proofreading ensures there are no small errors left before publishing. Both steps make writing better.
